It’s April of 2023—Colly has a two-mile Hinge radius and a dream. One day while swiping, an incredibly cute German Shepherd catches her eye. Upon further investigation, the man next to the German Shepherd is also incredibly cute, and the perfect mix of surfer / mountain man. She’s sold. His phone lights up with her profile: Paris and Milan? Well-traveled and cultured. Skiing and hiking? Athletic and adventurous. RISD? Smart and talented. Handstands on a moving quad in Colorado? Game, set, match. They locked eyes across the internet and never looked back.

Their first getaway to Joshua Tree soon followed, and as the sun set vibrantly across the Indio Valley, they fell in love. Over the years, that love grew as they road tripped to the mountains, sailed across the San Pedro Channel, felt the embrace of the warm Mexican sun on their skin, trapezed over Santa Barbara, traversed the slopes of the Rockies and the Sierras (and nursed each other back to health from injuries due to said traversing), attended oh so many concerts, blended their pet families, explored the world’s greatest cities, rode horses, and laughed until their bellies and cheeks could take no more.

Soon enough, there was only one more question that needed to be answered. So back to Joshua Tree they went, to the same spot where their love first blossomed. His heart beat loudly and she knew. Basking in the beauty of the desert sunset, they promised to spend the rest of their lives together. In each other, they found what they had spent so long looking for.

Above all, Colly and Jamie extend their sincerest gratitude to every person reading these words. You have all left indelible impacts on their lives and shaped them into the people they are today. If not because of you, they would not be the people they are and the perfect person for each other. They are overjoyed to share their love with each and every one of you.

On Jamie and Collier’s first trip together, a stranger secretly took this photo and AirDropped it to them. Two and a half years later, they returned to this very spot, and Jamie asked Collier to marry him.
