Surrounding Airports
Montrose - MTJ: The area's biggest regional airport with services from most commercial airlines is only a scenic 75 minute drive from Telluride. Rental cars and shuttle options are available from this airport. Please note, Lyft or Uber rides are not available from this airport therefore we recommend booking ground transportation services in advance.
Telluride - TEX: This small regional airport offers commercial service from PHX and DEN via Denver Air Connection. It also offers FBO services (KTEX).
Durango - DRO: 2.5 hours Southwest of Telluride.
Grand Junction - GJT: 2.5 hours North of Telluride.
Denver - DEN: 6.5 hours North of Telluride.

Turo Car Rental: Cars are not a necessity during your stay if you are in Mountain Village or in Town as the communities are connected via the free Gondola and are very walkable. If you plan on exploring the region you may want to rent a car.
Dial-a-Ride: This is an on demand shuttle service that is only accessible to those renting a home/condo in Mountain Village. Your rental will provide you with an access code. This service can be used for rides within Mountain Village. Rides will not be offered to the Town of Telluride, but they will take you to the nearest Gondola station and you can access Town via this free transportation system.
Telluride Carts: Electric carts are a great way to navigate the Town of Telluride. Note, these are only allowed in town limits and you must be 25+ to drive.
Lodging
Whether you are staying in Town or Mountain Village, you are never far from the action as the free gondola runs between them from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and till 2am on Friday & Saturday.
Air conditioning is not common practice at high altitude and most rely on fresh mountain air, open windows and fans to keep rooms cool. The only property in Telluride that is fully air conditioned is The Madeline, however, many properties do have limited units with AC. If this is a required amenity we recommend you call the property to confirm.

This stunning alpine resort sits mid-mountain and is connected via the gondola to the historic town of Telluride. The 83-room and 71-residence hotel has on its doorstep the world-famous Telluride Ski Resort, along with year-round recreation, shopping and festivals and offers easy gondola access to Telluride and the valley below. Amenities include multiple restaurants, spa, fitness and pool.
Lumiere, part of the Dunton collection of hotels, is located just off the Village Core in the heart of Mountain Village. This is a small boutique property with only 11 hotel rooms and 18 residences that range from one to five-bedrooms, including penthouse units. A true mountain chic retreat complete with on property dining from Dunton Kitchen, hot tub, plunge pool, fitness area and proximity to everything the area has to offer.
Franz Klammer, a Fairmont property, is where you will find well-appointed two and three-bedroom residences located in the Village Core for easy access to all of your mountain exploring. The property offers an array of amenities including airport transfers, spa services, fitness, pool and a game room.
Bear Creek Lodge is located just outside the Village Core with condo properties ranging from one to four-bedrooms, all include a gas fireplace and remodeled kitchens. Lock-off rooms at the Bear Creek Lodge are also available for guests who need a simple hotel room set-up with a bedroom and private bath. The property offers a free shuttle to anywhere in Mountain Village as well as a fitness center, indoor & outdoor hot tubs, an outdoor heated pool, kids game room and a sauna.
Mountain Lodge is located within Mountain Village, just a scenic gondola ride from downtown Telluride’s shops, restaurants, and lively streets. Our modern and handsomely appointed accommodations offer an array of options, from simple hotel-style guest rooms and family-friendly condos to sprawling luxury cabins with sweeping views. Lodging in Telluride

NOTE: If renting a home in Mountain Village you will have access to Dial-a-Ride, an on demand shuttle service to help transport you from your rental address to other areas in Mountain Village, including the Gondola. This service will not take you directly to the Town of Telluride.
